Leo Wallner, the mastermind of gambling and the longest serving senior executive in the United States of America, recently celebrated his 75th birthday. Wallner founded numerous casinos, all of which have a very good reputation. But not everything was as rosy as it seemed in his career that ended three years ago. Wallace used his position as chairman of the Olympic Committee and member of the IOC to advertise casinos. He wanted to become a priest in early November 1935, but he found economy and politics more exciting.
After finishing his studies at the University of Economics and graduating with a doctorate, he worked at the Institute for Applied Social and Economic Research. He was the adviser on economic issues to the chancellor between 1964 and 1967. In early 1968, he assumed the position of General Director of Casinos and he became chairman of the company in March of 1977.
Nearly 10 years later, he was sitting in the executive chair of the Lottery. He resigned shortly after and he was replaced three years ago. He is now in the company's supervisory board and the head of the Raiffeisen bank. Currently, Wallner occupies not only a place on the supervisory board. He is also in the monitoring committees of the foreign subsidiary of his company. He is also a member of the board of Omnimedia advertising company and a zoo.
He was also on the Supervisory Board of BAWAG PSK until four years ago and then part owner and sponsor of the lottery for many projects of foreign casinos. The restless manager is considered a gifted weaver of networks and a gifted diplomat with a lot of attitude. These properties are of great need in the world of gambling, which is connected with politics and sport not only in the United States of America. The American casinos are among the largest tax payers in the country, the finance department of the company whopping 549 million EUR last year alone plus 79 million EUR, which were eligible for the promotion of sport.
The gambling monopoly at one end was reached beginning with September. Betting services like GmbH should get a second approval in respect of electronic lotteries. However, this was denied by the CEO. According to insiders, this not only led to the rage of the casino board. As made public, a lottery agency paid 300,000 EUR in return for a ten-page paper about online gambling. Wallaces descendant commented on this action, this being a decision of the current management.
However, Wallner forgot about this study. Another problem of the "Wallner government" is the state visit of the president of Belarus, who was nicknamed the "last dictator of Europe" by critics eight years ago. He was invited in his position as chairman of the Olympic Committee to Tyrol by Wallner. The quite expensive journey worth 200,000 EUR was arranged by the Olympic Committee. According to Wallace, the expenditures were taken over by a businessman who had a profitable business in the East.
According to different sources, this billionaire businessman was Mr. Slack, but this was not confirmed by Wallner. Mr. Slack argued this as well. He has good connections in Belarus and he is said to have organized the employees of Telecom on the mobile operator MDC in Belarus. The entrepreneur Slack, who shuns the media, avoided using his international connections for online casino gambling like the devil avoids the use of holy water. Different casinos in the United States of America and Europe cooperated with each other. The biggest entertainment center in Europe is "Loutraki" and brings a great return.
Also, Wallaces friend launched a casino in Jericho, Israel 12 years ago. This casino was shelved since the beginning of the intifada. Two years ago, Wallace and Slack were obliged to act as witnesses in the BAWAG process. The assessment of the bank share was in the foreground in this case. Any cash flows of the casino now go to the current president of the Palestinian or the Israeli government. However, Wallner admitted that he had met the president. Wallner enjoys reading, going to the theater and practicing sports in his spare time. The manager who has received many awards was married to an opera singer for 21 years. She died of cancer five years ago. A son came forth from the union.
