Halloween in the Haunted House with Halloween Costumes

There is no point in everyone dressing up in children Halloween costumes and adults if the decorations are not suitable for the occasion. There are so many decorations you can use if you want to organize a Halloween party. They can be made from pumpkins, plastic skeletons, grave and light candles and many more and transform your homes in eerily beautiful cemetery crypts or dark torture chambers. Here you can find exactly the right tips, tricks and information if you want to decorate your house or apartment for a Halloween party.

Trick or treat?

Halloween parties are also part of the American culture, just like going from door to door dressed up in different boys and girls Halloween costumes asking for sweets. Haunted houses have also been a popular choice for Halloween for many years now (mainly Victorian mansions). Haunted houses are also a small test of courage for too unruly trick-or-treaters. The principle of a haunted house is sometimes taken so far that properties are prepared a month before Halloween.

A maniac mansion, a horror hotel, an asylum or a post-apocalyptic zombie cellar?

So you have decided to decorate your house, basement or garage? Well, then you can start planning! Reasonably structured planning is decisive for the achievement of success and for making everyone feel good and scared at your party (however paradoxical that may sound). Take your time and then a handful of soul kindred spirits (e. g. friends) and think of a theme. Let your imagination run wild and look in the spooky depths of the local video library or on the internet. Do you need a few complacent keywords? Here you go: cemetery, asylum, haunted castle, cave, prison, swamp, ghost ship, church, Alien Planet, apocalypse, zombies, ghosts, witches, mass murderers, psychopaths, monsters, biohazard, laboratory, clinic or all possible combinations.

The basic idea is to find an appropriate theme pretty quickly so that you can make all the subsequent preparations. For example, your guests should receive a note with all the chambers at the entrance. If then they find "The Hall of the Damned", "Cemetery of decaying corpses" or a more literary and dignified "The Red Mask of Death" sign on your door, that is another question. It does not matter as long as they are consistent.

The right terror plot

You have an idea, you have an apartment – what is next? First, you should imagine how you have to decorate it for the guests to be comfortable. Haunt to be involved with, Sometimes you have to put numerous furnishings aside or at least cover them, depending on whether you have a larger space (basement, attic) or an entire residential area. A microwave oven in the medieval haunted castle does not look very convincing and the same holds true for an antique clock in a monster spaceship. By contrast, a new modern kitchen with a microwave oven and a metal table can be converted into a witch castle. It can also be transformed into a horror laboratory if you make a few modifications. It is therefore advisable to always consider the requirements and circumstances - and this leads to the next point: you need to make a plan! It program does not matter whether you make a hand-written sketch of your doomsday scenario or you print it after making it in a 3D program. What is important is that you think of a reasonably coherent storyline to guide the victims through the rooms. A gripping story makes the guests feel like in an obscure fantasy world and any "surprise" appearance will shock them. Save your best effects for the end because a character with no powder is a real stress killer!

Jute and fog and plastic wrap

As already mentioned, you might have to block off certain areas or to cover them. You can use OSB (oriented strand board) for that in larger rooms. The craftsmanship, however, is absolutely essential as you are not allowed to make any compromises for stability and security purposes! Therefore, the partitions should be fixed at good angles and attached to each other properly. Once installed, you can paint the walls according to your theme. Green or black are universally compatible with the moldy-brown planks. Black plastic (garbage bags are best) is an affordable option.  You can also cover the forbidden doors with curtains if you want. You can achieve sensational effects with torn and tattered burlap sacks, too. You may also spread calm with the obligatory man-made textile weaving. You could also use a fog machine or have you ever seen a cemetery, castle or ghost scene with no fog? You couldn’t have, so do your homework properly
